Enrico Winery ‘Newton’ Reserve Pinot Noir 2020

Cowichan Valley, Vancouver Island, Canada

Pinot Noir from estate grown grapes. Partially destemmed fruit, partially whole cluster. New French oak. 2020 was a cool vintage. Reaching quality extraction temperatures was a struggle. Despite these challenges, this turned out to be a lovely wine.

N Saddle and cranberry. Tart plum and baking spice. Cumin and rose.

P Slender. Delicate. Pretty. Light on the midpalate, but makes up for it on the elegant, radial finish complimented by silky tannins.
